About these people
How are the featured people chosen?
Seven people rotate every Monday from across the whole calendar, weighted towards those covered in the most language editions. Birthdays today and this week are drawn from the actual dates.
Why is someone missing?
A person appears once their birth or death has been recorded against a date. Coverage follows the sources, so less-documented figures may not be there yet.
Where do the biographies come from?
Short summaries adapted from Wikipedia, with structured life facts from Wikidata. Each page links to the source.
